Naguib Kheraj, former Deputy Chairman of STANCHART (02888.HK), is among the few candidates being considered to succeed Mark Tucker as Chairman of HSBC HOLDINGS (00005.HK), according to Sky News.

Kheraj worked at Barclays for 12 years, and served as finance director. He later became chief executive at London-based investment bank, JP Morgan Cazenove. He also served as an adviser to the Aga Khan Development Board, The Wellcome Trust and the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).

Sky News previously reported that Kevin Sneader, former McKinsey boss, was also among the candidates being considered, but it was unclear as of last weekend if he remains on the shortlist.
