AlipayHK has announced 1-3Q25 data, showing that overseas transaction volume by Hongkongers leaped by 60% YoY and more than 2.3 million users using AlipayHK for payments while traveling this year. To further optimize the travel experience, AlipayHK announced today (16th) another milestone, where it is now the first e-wallet in Hong Kong to offer European tax refund services. In the first phase, AlipayHK allows travelers to complete online tax refunds at major airports in four European cities (Amsterdam, Milan, Munich, and Rome), with plans to gradually expand its coverage to 46 European countries, delivering a seamless one-stop experience from pre-trip booking and on-trip payments to post-trip tax refunds.
