Taobao Instant Commerce Attracts 8M Users on 1st Day of Double 11 w/ Convenience Store Orders Hiking by 670% YoY

China's Double 11 promotion has officially commenced at 8 pm on Wednesday (15th). As a new player in 2025 Double 11, Taobao Instant Commerce introduced three major new strategies, naming 10 million free orders, half-price food delivery order for 88VIP and Taobao coin cashback. Various product categories reached new highs on the first day of Double 11.

In terms of catering consumption, on Wednesday, multiple key categories on Taobao Instant Commerce saw significant YoY order increases, with coffee/ convenience store/ beverage categories/ bakery categories/ fresh fruit categories orders up by 800%/ 670%/ 270%/ 250%/ 220%.

Chinese media learned that, on the first day of Double 11 alone, the user scale participating in activities through 'Instant Commerce Free Orders' reached 8 million.
