Carlyle Group/ Boyu Capital Reportedly Lead Joint Bid for Starbucks CN Biz Valued at US$4B

Private equity groups The Carlyle Group (CG.US) and Boyu Capital have formed a consortium to engage in exclusive negotiations for acquiring Starbucks (SBUX.US)'s China business, with the transaction valued at approx. US$4 billion, the Financial Times quoted insiders as saying.

These two groups are currently seen as Starbucks' preferred partners, the report quoted three individuals close to the transaction process as saying.
