The HSI ended the day down 22 points or 0.1% at 25,888. The HSCEI rose 8 points or 0.1% to close at 9,259. The HSTECH fell 71 points or 1.2%, closing at 6,003. The total market turnover for the day amounted to HKD275.431 billion. In the tech sector, BIDU-SW (09888.HK) and XIAOMI-W (01810.HK) slipped 1.7% and 3.6%. BABA-W (09988.HK) edged down 0.2%. TENCENT (00700.HK), JD-SW (09618.HK), KUAISHOU-W (01024.HK), and MEITUAN-W (03690.HK) slid 0.7-1.2%. NTES-S (09999.HK) and BILIBILI-W (09626.HK) added 0.1% and 1.1%. In Addition, NEW ORIENTAL-S (09901.HK) and EAST BUY (01797.HK) soared 8.9% and 10.6%. WEIMOB INC (02013.HK) and KINGSOFT (03888.HK) eroded 2.8% and 3.5%. BYD ELECTRONIC (00285.HK) and FIT HON TENG (06088.HK) rallied 5% and 3%. ZTE (00763.HK) leaped 5.9%. Among chip stocks, SMIC (00981.HK) ebbed 2.8%, while HUA HONG SEMI (01347.HK) gained 0.7%. SANHUA (02050.HK) plummeted 6.1%. It has denied the rumors of receiving a large robot order. Car makers BYD COMPANY (01211.HK) and GWMOTOR (02333.HK) shed 0.9% and 1.9%. LEAPMOTOR (09863.HK) and XPENG-W (09868.HK) slid 3.5% and 3.9%.
